Summary: A year after the explosion, Tarrlok confesses his feelings for Korra. But does she want more to do with him or not?

MORE OF YOU

nothing has changed

“You’re cheating.”
“I’m not.”
A smug smile spreads across Tarrlok’s face as he moves one of the Pai Sho tiles over the board. Korra frowns as she takes in the move that Tarrlok makes, and bows her face closer to the board, as though it will help her understand his strategy better.
A feeling of contentment rushes over the former councilman as he looks at his young opponent. She is beautiful, and the fierceness with which she makes her move, only illuminates that fact even more. There is a fire inside her he is unable to ignore. It spreads over to him, puts his body ablaze – which is ironic, considering the burn scars that already cover a large part of his torso and legs.
“Your turn,” she mumbles and she focuses her gaze on the board. If she looks at him now, she will catch him staring at her.

After the gala, Tarrlok decides to parade Korra around on an elephant-donkey for publicity. She loves it, he regrets it.

This is the “io had no ideas or time for this prompt so she threw total crack at her computer screen and it stuck” prompt. Euughghh… it’s so bad.

Also, the politics part of this is totally US-centric… for people who don’t know, Democrats have the symbol of a donkey in the US, while Republicans use an elephant, so I just combined them and stuck Korra and Tarrlok on one. It ended up being a monstrosity, but whatever.

She only allowed the slightest intake of breath at the feeling of the wall against her shoulders. She hadn’t expected to be pinned so soon. Her fingers tightened their unforgiving grip on the fabric of his shirt in redoubled determination, only the slightest offset by the words he next gave her.

“You’re a liar. You’ve never done this.” His tone only marginally outdid his smile in unbearable obnoxiousness. He leaned his taller, broader, stiflingly larger form over her and advanced the hand not pretentiously tucked behind him to feel over the drawstring of her trousers.

Her lips pursed angrily and a bluff escaped her, “I felt that, your thumb touched me. You lose.”

He chuckled and leaned forward, sending her farther against the wall. His fingers worked with notable ease for their thickness. Her nose flared with an obvious hiss of breath. He was untying the drawstring. His voice was unwavering, yet not devoid of amusement, “Lying again. I thought the Avatar ought to have greater morals. You’re digging a deep hole for yourself, perhaps you should—”

“Like hell. Before you even finish whatever stupid thing you were going to say, my answer is gonna be ‘Like hell’.” He pulled her trousers from her skin, fingers careful to not touch her in the process. She swallowed hard and felt the heat of his thumb come into the narrow space between the waist hem and her bare flesh, “Y-you can’t charm me or whatever.”

“Charm isn’t the word.” He pushed closer and damn it he made it hard to breathe, “Campaigning fits a little better, don’t you think?”

so i went a little abstract with this prompt, but! i recall a particularly great foreplay game of mine, where you and your partner have to undress one-another and get each-other wound up without directly touching their skin. the loser has to obey every order of the winner for the night without complaint.

which, with a prompt like ‘politics’, i wanted to go for a type of politics that isn’t the.. expected one, i suppose? i wanted to go into the personal governing and campaigning in a relationship, and especially in intimacy. so here’s my really abstract take, i suppose! with a half-assed ficlet and all!

this is my favorite i’ve done thus far -u- didn’t have a mouse for this one, though, so the coloring is even lazier. touchpads, man.

Korrlok week continues with the theme Politics! Or rather… Exo-Politics, because that’s the song I used as inspiration for this wallpaper. (It’s an awesome song from Muse and it’s about aliens, but I suppose that is quite irrelevant in relation to the Korrlok ship.) ;-)

For one or another reason I had to toss in Amon in the background. When listening to the song, it felt like he HAD to be there. So it’s also a bit Amorralok now. :-D
